Soro Coffee is a specialty coffee, matcha and tea café at 601 Wilshire Blvd, on the corner of Wilshire Blvd and Grand Ave in the Financial District of downtown Los Angeles — a short walk from 7th St/Metro Center (A, B, D and E Lines). We source our coffee beans and teas directly from farmers and roast masters around the world. Our coffee classes are taught by Rock Kim, an Authorized SCA Trainer (AST) and licensed Q Instructor. Laptops are welcome, and there’s Wi-Fi.

What are your hours?
Monday to Friday 7 AM – 3 PM and Saturday 8 AM – 3 PM. We’re closed on Sunday.
Can I work on my laptop at Soro?
Yes. You’re welcome to bring a laptop and work from the café, using our Wi-Fi.

Do you serve matcha?
Yes. Our Matcha Specialty menu has seven drinks: Matcha Latte, Matcha Cream Latte, Matcha Espresso Fusion, Matcha Yuzu Latte, Matcha Cream Cold Brew, Strawberry Matcha and Mango Matcha.
Do you serve tea?
Yes. Our tea selection is English Breakfast, Earl Grey Creme, Moroccan Mint, Rooibos, Chamomile, Hot Cinnamon Spice, Peaches & Ginger and Ginger Turmeric. Like our coffee beans, our teas come directly from farmers and roast masters around the world.

Can I rent Soro for an event?
Yes — the whole café or part of it, for private gatherings, film and photo shoots, workshops, meetings and community events. Book during opening hours or after we close at 3 PM; events can run until 10 PM, later by arrangement. The café is about 2,000 sq ft. It holds up to 100 guests — 50 seated and 50 standing. Coffee bar service, tables and chairs, Wi-Fi and a TV are included, and music is welcome. Alcohol isn’t allowed at events at Soro. Details and inquiries are on our Private events page.
Do you teach coffee classes?
Yes. In partnership with International Coffee Academy, we teach the Specialty Coffee Association’s Coffee Skills Program — Introduction to Coffee, Barista Skills, Brewing, Roasting and Sensory Skills — and the SCA Q Grader course at the café. Every class is taught by Rock Kim, an Authorized SCA Trainer (AST) and licensed Q Instructor, in English or Korean. Courses and inquiries are on the academy page, which is also available in Korean.
Private events
Host at Soro.
Rent the whole café for up to 100 guests, or part of it, for a gathering, a shoot, a workshop or a meeting. Book during the day or after we close at 3 PM, until 10 PM (later by arrangement). Coffee bar service, tables and chairs, Wi-Fi and a TV are included.

With over 15 years in the arts of coffee and tea, Soro Coffee trains expert baristas and coffee masters. In partnership with International Coffee Academy, we teach the Specialty Coffee Association’s Coffee Skills Program — Introduction to Coffee, Barista Skills, Brewing, Roasting and Sensory Skills — and the SCA Q Grader course. Every class is taught by Rock Kim, an Authorized SCA Trainer (AST) and licensed Q Instructor, in English or Korean.
